'The O.C.' is a story of fathers and sons, husbands and wives, and the coming of age of three young people.
The O.C., otherwise known as Orange County, California, is an idyllic paradise – a wealthy, harbor-front community where everything and everyone appears to be perfect. But beneath the surface is a world of shifting loyalties and identities, of kids living secret lives hidden from their parents, and of parents living secret lives hidden from their children. Ryan, a troubled teen from the wrong side of the tracks, is thrust into this world and will soon learn that nothing is what it seems. He moves to the O.C. when Sandy, an idealistic pro-bono public defender, invites him to stay in his pool house. Sandy's wife, Kirsten, isn't happy that Ryan has moved in and worries about how it will affect their teenage son Seth, a soulful dreamer ostracized by his peers. Making the whole situation more interesting is Marissa, the heartbreakingly beautiful girl-next-door who seems to glide through life effortlessly. That is, until the indiscretions of her wealthy father Jimmy threaten to break her world apart. Ryan's arrival is the catalyst for new alliances forged, old flames rekindled, and unlikely friendships born.

On June 14th 2004 FOX will be premiering the new show, The North Shore. Amanda Righetti, who plays Hailey is starring in this new show, and if she is in this show, won't she have to quit The O.C.? Could Hailey be leaving The O.C.?
Could the actors that portray Summer and Seth enjoy each other's company off the set, as well? Rumors are swirling that Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody are a couple and they did little to disuade this notion when they showed up together at the 25th annual College Television Awards. Viewers not wanting to wait until November to see 'The O.C.' on TV again, can catch two repeats on Fox this Monday. The episodes "The Heartbreak" and "The Ties That Bind" will show in a rare opportunity for reruns. There are no plans for any more repeats until the fall.

The O.C. favorite Samaire Armstrong's (aka Anna) new show Gramercy Park was not picked up by any network to air this fall. The project has been scrapped. A big let down to Samaire's strong O.C. fanbase. Good Luck Samaire!

O.C. moving in Canada?
With all the fuss about when and where 'The O.C.' will air on Fox in the fall, I just wanted to let Canadian viewers know that CTV announces it's fall schedule in June. As soon as any info is released, it will be posted here.

'The O.C.' moves!
Fox has moved 'The O.C.' to Thursdays at 8pm starting in the fall. The show premieres November 4th, 2004 and shares the night with 'Tru Calling' airing at 9pm. Fox is hoping that 'The O.C.' can gain a few of the coveted 18-34, and 18-49 demo viewers that used to watch 'Friends'. Though it is a risky move, it allows Fox to premiere more fragile new programming in safer slots.

Although details are being kept hush-hush, rumor has it the project may chronicle Seth's harrowing trek from Newport Beach to Santa Monica in that cardboard dinghy."

My Opinions Of The Show
Was I the only person who cried on the season finale? It was so sad and I just burst into tears... I am mostly upset with the fact that Ryan is going off the pregnant Theresia and is leaving behind the only place that has been good to him! I only hope that next season the baby isnt Ryan's and its Eddies instead because then everything would change on the show and i dont want it to change because it has been incredibly good so far!!! Also i think that they need more teenage characters on the show because the adult storylines are not cutting it for me anymore and the show is mostly for teens! They need to replace Luke and whatever happened to Holly?
Buy the new album released from FOX...it has tons of songs on it from the show! It features music from artists such as Rooney, Phantom Planet, Jem, Joseph Arthur, The 88, The Dandy Warhols, and Finley Quaye. |
